Bobby & Karen Williams joined Children’s Bible Ministries of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc. in the fall of 1997. Originally from Florida, they moved to Robeson County to develope a CBM Bible camp which would allow the children attending Released Time classes to be ministered to year-round, as well as create opportunities for discipleship and spiritual refreshment. Bobby is the Executive Director, operating under the guidance of a local Board of Directors, giving leadership to the full-time missionary staff and countless volunteers. Karen is thoroughly involved in the ministry, giving assistance to her husband wherever needed. Her primary responsibilities include receipting donor gifts and editing the ministry newsletter.
Bobby and Karen have been blessed with 4 children, 3 who live here with them and one who lives in heaven. Hayley (21) and Dustin (19) are both working on degrees at North Greenville University and Lacey (7) is being home-schooled.
Logan was taken home to be with the Lord during the first summer of overnight camp (2003). He was 2 ½. Although it is hard to imagine that taking him through an accident at camp, the special place God has chosen for the Williams family to serve, would be part of His plan, they believe that it is. They have trusted Him with their lives and can see clearly that He was in control of many details that surrounded their tragic accident. Each of them would have done something to prevent Logan's death had they known what was going to happen. . . but God knew. They are confident that when God creates a life, He plans the number of days and the purpose for that life (Psalm 139:16). Logan was a very special gift to this family and they are grateful that God shared him with them. They continue to pray that Logan's short life and God's grace to them will be a testimony to the reality of a living God and the benefits of knowing Him personally.
